Bad Armadillo Vineyard is a small (about 1 acre) vineyard located in Palm City, FL. We grow a variety of Muscadine grapes, as well as Bunch grapes developed by the University of Florida.

If you roam the vineyard at night, you might see an Armadillo. He lives by a tree in the back of the vineyard, and comes out at night to look for food - something from his diet of beetles & grubs. When he doesn't cover up the holes he digs, then he is a

We will not be selling cuttings or potted grape plants this Winter.  My "other" job has me working many hours with no days off until April.  The House and Vineyard are up for sale, and hopefully we will sell it soon!  We have purchased 13.75 acres in North Georgia, and are starting our New vineyard "This Little Piggy Vineyard" ( see http://www.thislittlepiggyvineyard.com ).  We have some trees we need to "relocate", so we can start planting the vineyard this Spring.  Because we are putting our energy into our present work schedule, and the New Vineyard, we will no longer have much time for Bad Armadillo Vineyard.  Hopefully, the new owners will carry on the Winemaking tradition!
This is Our Blanc du Bois section.  As you can see, its already gotten cold enough for most of the leaves to fall off.  The vines are going Dormant for the Winter.  After a few months sleep, they will bud again in April.
This a close-up of one of the vines.  Our Blanc du Bois did good this year, however, we didn't get a single grape off the vines.  Food was scarce, and the Raccoons ate all the grapes early, before I could get the Electric Fence up.
This is the Lake Emerald / Black Spanish section.  The leaves of the Lake Emerald vines are still visible.  You can see the lake at the end of the rows.
This is a better view of the Lake.  This is the highest the water gets - right up to the palm trees.
As we do every year, Bad Armadillo Vineyard was the host to several new families of Mocking Birds.  This nest had 4 baby birds.
This is some of the 2011 Black Spanish - we managed to save enough from the Raccoons to make 5 gallons of wine.
And this is the Lake Emerald - we were able to make 8 gallons of wine from these grapes this year.
