Bad Armadillo Vineyard is for Sale
Yes, that's right, Bad Armadillo Vineyard is for sale. We are getting ready to retire and move to North Georgia. We have bought 13.75 acres between Blue Ridge and BlairsvilIe, just off Hwy 515. We have already named it "This Little Piggy Vineyard". It will give us something to do during retirement (I promise to leave the Armadillo down here when I leave).
Bad Armadillo Vineyard is approximately 3 1/3 acres in a gated community known as Stuart West. It is located in Palm City, FL. Bad Armadillo Vineyard has about 3/4 acre of planted grapevines. It has approximately 60 Blanc du Bois, 15 Conquistador, 30 Lake Emerald, 6 Stover, 6 Norton, 15 Suwannee, 15 Black Spanish, 15 Favorite, 6 Dog Ridge, and 50 Muscadines vines. Most of the grapes make a good wine. I usually eat the Muscadines (and use them for jelly).
The House is a 3 Bedroom / 2 1/2 bath with a 1 Bedroom / 1 bath Mother-in-Law apartment. The Main House has approximately 2700 square feet. The apartment has approximately 550 square feet. It has a Pool (lap pool with a little wider swimming area, and a Hot Tub. There is a fireplace in the living room (yes, it gets cold enough for a fireplace in Florida - we got down to 32 degrees twice last Winter).

This is a birds-eye view of the property. The land is pie-shaped, and has a lake on the North side. If you like space, peace and quiet - this is the place for you! On the back of the property, across the lake, there is a preserve area. Many birds and other creatures call this preserve their home. They make an appearance from time to time. If you look closely, you can see the vineyard in the back (North of the house). There is also a large fenced in backyard area for your dogs or horses.
This is the Front Porch area. Its a nice place to come and sit in the cool mornings.
This is the front enterance to the house. Please note that Mr Bear does NOT come with the house. He is our Alaska Bear, and is coming with us to Georgia.
And this is a inside view of the Foyer. To the left, you can see the powder room.
This is a closer view of the Powder Room. It has a small closet on the back wall for towels.
This is the Living Room. Its a little larger than most - about 22' x 22'. As you can see, there are hardwood floors (3/4 inch Oak) throughout the entire house. Open the 12 ft sliding glass door for that "Back to Nature" feeling.
This is the fireplace. Yes, it actually gets cold enough down here for a fire. I try to put one on whenever it gets into the 50s. It drops to around 32 degrees a few times each Winter.
This is the Kitchen. Its loaded with space, and has a Pantry for all those things you'll need to cook up your gourmet dinner.
Yes Chef!
The Kitchen has a lot of counter space, and an Island, with a gas cooktop It also has a bar area, and an Eat-in Kitchen area.
This is the Formal Dining Room. I think we actually use this room once or twice a year (Christmas & Thanksgiving), but its nice to have for those "Special" occasions.
The Master Bedroom has a lot of room for an extra table and chairs in the little sitting area. There's also a door that goes out to the back padio - for the Hot Tub and 40 ft lap pool.
This is the Eat-in Kitchen area. I like sitting here and looking out the back windows at Bad Armadillo Vineyard.
This is the Laundry Room. As you can see, it has plenty of room. We were going to put cabinets and a folding area in here, but haven't been able to get to it yet. If you noticed in some of your pictures, Neo (the cat) has been following me around while I'm taking these pictures.
This is one of the Bedrooms. Both this and the third bedroom are approximately 12' x 12'.
This is the third bedroom. We use it as our study. It has a set of French doors that open out onto the patio.
This is the Living Room. Its about a 12' x 12' area - enough for a couch, chair, and small entertainment center.
It has a good size bedroom, and a small walk-in Closet.
It also has a small kitchen, and a place by the window for a small table with chairs. The floor in the apartment is also 3/4 inch Oak.
